Wasit University's Master’s Dissertation: On Membrane Condensation of R1234 Gas on Finned Tubes

College of Engineering, University of Wasit discussed a master dissertation on the membrane condensation of R1234 gas over finned tubes by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Rand Abd Al-Hassan. The dissertation aimed at the experimental investigation of the condensation heat transfer of R1234yf on low-fin tubes. The dissertation reviewed designing of a small-scale refrigerant R134a and R1234yf supplied with plain and finned tubes, as well as the requiring measurement system, as part of the laboratory setup. The dissertation highlighted that HTC condensation on normal tubes matching with the prediction of Nusselt theory within MAPD 2% for R134a and 2.7% for R1234yf. The dissertation demonstrated that the HTC condensation decreases with the increase in the heat flux and the total HTC increases with the increase in the logarithmic mean temperature difference.
